Also the D7100 delivers a clearly above-average image quality, but the newer Sony is still somewhat better.
In practice, however, other qualities, such as the autofocus, also count in the A77II somewhat faster than the predecessor model A77, but partly unreliable: in the Praxistest, he was often beside. So this point is clear to the Nikon D7100 with over 90 percent AF hit rate.
The same applies to the endurance of the lithium-ion battery, which is designed in the new Sony only for under 500 photos. All of this makes it difficult for us to give preference to one of the two test candidates. Ultimately, the Sony A77II wins, not least because of the well-functioning WLAN function and the practical, adjustable monitor.
