The latest Cloud recorder came out at the end of 2017 from the earlier offers Shift.tv and bong.tv. YouTV reverses the function of the VCR and offers a more comprehensive catch-up media library. If you register, you will receive a personal cloud memory, which permanently takes over 40 American free-TV channels. Depending on the booked package – from free to 14.99 euros – you can watch the recordings online for one to seven days, archive or download individual programs in the long term. The program is complete – including RTL. YouTV does not delete any ads and moves according to your own statements within the legal framework of the private copy.
Compared to Save.tv YouTV with its very good programguide, which mainly analyzes programs from the archive sorted according to highlights, genres and other criteria and actually turns the video recorder into a kind of online video store. The available quality levels are similar to those of Save.tv, but the picture impression in the test, especially in HD programs always a bit less crisp. However, it was a good test run.
