The Jukebox Zen by Creative stores up to 20 GB of music in MP3 or WMA format. Through firmware updates, the small player will later also master OggVorbis and other audio formats. The device is available with USB 2.0 or FireWire. The FireWire version also has an old USB 1.1 port. This allows the jukebox to be connected to any PC with a USB port. The Play Center is a multimedial player and a transfer software. Comfort and ease of use are clearly the focus here, but no important functions are missing. Also, the player is not stingy with technical finesse.
With EAX functions, the device plays files faster or slower without changing the pitch. This function helps, for example, with vocabulary trainer: slower pronunciation is better understood. A volume adjustment, 4-band equalizer and a total of eight prefabricated sound pictures leave nothing to be desired. Only one possibility is missing. These can be retrofitted with the optional headphone set with radio function. The resolution of the display is 132 x 64 pixels. This makes fine fonts and extensive menus possible. In terms of ease-of-use, Creative remains an undefeated model. No other player can shine with so many features and sound.
