The plasma of Panasonic has the slightest deviation in the viewing angle. Samsung brings it to the smallest viewing angle error, but increases with increasing angle but also the difference between bright and dark picture contents more strongly. Here Philips achieves a good compromise: Although the TV seen from the side quite fast, but not distorted as much.

Other of the more than 100 CEC commands are: Device Power Status, OSD (OSD) display, Routing Control, System Information, Vendor Specific Commands, and Audiotact Adjustment (Audio Rate Control).


It works quite well over HDMI, but not everything. Fortunately, however, the cooperation with a connected AV receiver is already very good, and so one needs at least for the regulation of the volume no second remote control more. For all other components, the remote control should not be muted.


One or the other function is often only to be activated. Overall, Philips and Sony came out with a successful HDMI concept. They worked well with the connected equipment park.


The Samsung was not quite as successful because he had not fully mastered the TT-micro, but he excelled with the best picture and with coherent equipment and could just as easily pass the test.
