Rising salaries for IT professionals: Highly qualified IT employees, such as frontend software developers, receive more than eight percent more salaries in companies with more than 1,000 employees. This is demonstrated by the remuneration study IT functions of the HR market and computer week.
According to the study, the size of the company is becoming less important as the qualification increases. For example, IT specialists in software development in the frontend sector could achieve a 6 percent increase in small companies with up to 100 employees.
Top earners are IT project managers with an average annual income of 73,400 euros. This is followed by SAP consultants with EUR 67,100, IT consultants (EUR 63,300) and IT security specialists with EUR 63,000 per year. In the end, however, web designers are only 38,000 euros per year. Overall, the salaries of IT professionals in the economy rose by 2.8 per cent.
In contrast, the salaries of the executives rose by only 1.9 per cent. "The rise in salaries among executives this year is rather subdued," said Tim Böger, Managing Director of the HR market.
The wage increases are distributed differently in regions: in the west and particularly in the south, the salaries for IT staff have increased significantly. In the north and east, on the other hand, the increase was small. For the remuneration study, 16,500 current data were evaluated.
