Social Network Facebook introduces its messenger – at least the corresponding apps for Windows and the Firefox browser. The message came as a surprise to many users because the app has only been available on the market for almost two years and so far no reasons for the hiring have been mentioned.
In this context, a connection to current events is quickly established. Because only once a week it is, that Facebook bought the Messenger Whatsapp for 19 billion US dollar. The Social Network has already announced the setting of Facebook Messenger for Windows and Firefox. Whether the developments are related remains to be seen.
Downloading the app is already not possible and the app will no longer work as of March 3rd. With the help of Facebook's Facebook Facebook, users of the social network Facebook have the possibility to send text messages, pictures and local data to friends and acquaintances. Since summer 2011 the app was available, Whatsapp was already at this time already and quickly became clear, one can not catch up the enormous advantage to this messaging app, or establish itself as a Whatsapp alternative.
Through the hitherto unconcerned settings of the desktop messenger and the previous takeover of the most successful competitor, it is clear that Facebook is pursuing a new strategy: the focus on the mobile Internet, without compromising.
