Robbie Bach, the head of the Xbox division at Microsoft until autumn 2010, gave an initial review on a Playstation 5 and Xbox Two in an interview with the IT portal "GeekWire."

For example, Bach believes it is likely that another generation of consoles will be released on the market after Playstation 4 and Xbox One. However, what design the possible new consoles might have would be pure speculation.
Bach, however, suspects the lack of a drive, so that physical media become obsolete. He speculates about an extension of the functionality of a console: For example, Playstation 5 or Xbox Two might include features of a set-top box such as an Apple TV. For Bach, however, it is certain that the future generation of consoles will be "something completely new."
