The Nikon 1 V2 as a new top model of mirrorless system camera lasers is aimed primarily at ambitious movers looking for a full-fledged but handy camera with interchangeable lenses. The “Mirrorless” Nikon 1 V2 comes in a new housing design similar to a reflex camera with a distinctive handle and integrated mini-pop-up flash.
Features
Two dials on the camera, new buttons and a new menu allow fast operation. Fast on / off switching is by a lever on the trigger or by a short rotation at the zoom ring of the lens. Important functions can be reached quickly using an F key.
More options
The core piece of the 1 V2 is the CMOS sensor with 1 inch diagonal (Nikon CX format 13.2 x 8.8 mm) and 14 megapixel resolution. It also provides the basis for the hybrid autofocus with 135-field contrast AF and phase detection with 73 central AF fields.
WLAN and GPS via adapter
The updated Expeed-3a dual image processor, which is capable of processing a data rate of 850 megapixels / s, is responsible for fast response during image processing and autofocus. Sensor and processor can create up to 15 fps with full resolution and continuous focusing of each image or up to 60 fps with prefocusing. The sensor sensitivity range now includes ISO 160 - 6,400 as standard.
Price and availability
The 3-inch LCD monitor with 307,000 RBG pixels and the electronic viewfinder with 480,000 RGB pixels are unchanged compared to the 1 V1. An eye sensor ensures automatic switching between the viewfinder and the monitor. At the top of the viewfinder housing is now a mini-flash with LZ 6.3 at ISO 160. New at the 1 V2 is a real-time preview of the effect of settings such as time, aperture, contrast, sharpness etc. in the live view Code>
The basic functions such as motif programs, program (shift), aperture, time control and manual settings are supplemented by various special exposure modes and special functions. For example, a "Best Capture" mode is added to the "Moving Snapshot" and "Smart Photo Selector" functions already known from other Nikon 1 models. It allows you to save the best photo from a slow motion recording with 40 photos.
For "Moving Snapshot", the 1 V2 now saves the photo and slow motion movie file in a single file. Other features of the 1 V2 are Backlight (HDR) and Active D-Lighting function, automatic distortion correction and a "Quiet" ejection mode with electronic shutter. This also allows 1 / 16,000 s as the shortest shutter speed compared to the 1 / 4,000 s of the mechanical slot shutter.
While recording full-HD videos with 1920 x 1080 / 60i or 30p, you can store photos at full resolution without interrupting your video capture.
The system accessory shoe can be used to connect external system flashes such as the new iTTL compatible SB-N7 with LZ 18 for 160 euros, the optional stereo micro ME-1 or the GPS adapter GP-N100. With the optional WU-1b radio adapter, wireless image and data transmission via WLAN to smartphone and tablet is possible.
Your energy is the 1 V2 from the larger Lith-Ion battery EN-EL21. The offer of usable lenses is expanded by the bayonet adapter FT1. It allows the use of virtually any current Nikkor lens with an F-bayonet, with AF-S and AF-I Nikkor being even compatible with the Hybrid AF.
The Nikon 1 V2 is available in the kit with the Nikkor 3.5-5.6 / 10-30mm zoom (= 30-90 mm KB) from November for 900 Euro in the colors black or white. With the 30-110mm tele-zoom (90-330 mm KB), it costs 1,080 euros. The current Nikon 1 V1 is to remain at the reduced price for the time being.
The Nikon 1 lens range, which currently consists of six models, is scheduled to be expanded in 2013. On the one hand, a zoom angle zoom is 3.5-5.6 / 6.7-13 mm (18-35 mm KB) with image stabilizer (VR). With a maximum of 100 °, it will provide the largest viewing angle of all Nikon 1 lenses.
With the 4-5.6 / 10-100 mm (27-270 mm KB), a compact and lightweight 10x travel zoom will complement the range of Nikon 1 lenses. As a third lens Nikon plans a high-light portrait telephoto lens 1.2 / 32 mm (86.4 mm KB). More details, dates and prices left Nikon open.
