The Freeware Sharepod frees all iPod models and even iPhones from iTunes. The program allows you to copy music from the player of other computers and saves the detour via iTunes. Apple allows this action only via iTunes and not on other PCs for fear of robbery. However, if you have more than one computer or want to fuel your player with new music, Sharepod is the right choice.
