Xbox One Wired Controller for Windows PC now available

Microsoft introduced the Xbox One Wired Controller for Windows PCs. Instead of the mouse and the keyboard, players can now use the Xbox-One gamepad and control games more precisely. With a 2.74-meter USB cable, the Wired Controller can be easily connected to a PC. It is also possible to connect to the Xbox One via wireless or USB direct connection.

According to Microsoft, the new controller complements the existing portfolio and is to offer better ergonomics and more precise operating possibilities. In addition, the Wired Controller is expected to have more than 40 new features compared to its predecessor.

This also includes modifications to the design: the ergonomically shaped housing is suitable for differently sized hands, for example. In addition, the handy analogue sticks, the control cross with pressure feedback, as well as the illuminated Xbox Guide Button should allow even more precise control to console and PC.

The controller is compatible with the operating systems Windows 7 and Windows 8. The corresponding drivers had already been released by Microsoft in summer. With these, you can control all games that also support the older Xbox 360 controller.

In addition to the controller, Microsoft recently unveiled an adapter that enables Xbox One Kinect 2.0 to be used on a Windows 8 PC. In addition, the company released free apps in the Windows store that work with Kinect.
