Denon has quite properly freigschommen, as far as its AV receiver concerns. The harmony of the equipment, which is reduced to the essentials and by no means dull, and a consistent operating concept, makes the AVR-2313 the product of choice.
Automatic calibration
And even compared to the same platform-based Marantz SR 6007, Denon scores by even greater reduction: the AVR-2313 dispenses with clamps for high-effect boxes. Phono does not seem to be an issue for the targeted clientele. The receiver accepts audio signals only via high level inputs or digital. Wireless AirPlay is an alternative to cable connections.
At the height of time
The graphical user interface of the current model year shines through clarity. And it also provides the freshly baked owner with valuable information during initial commissioning. After the Denon is connected to a monitor, it guides the user through the entire connection procedure and the measurement.
Hearing test
For this, Audyssey MultEQ-XT has a powerful, microfone-supported automatic system. But also the manual basic setting preferred by testers can be achieved without headaches thanks to the good menus and, above all, thanks to the exemplary completely redesigned remote control without any headaches.
Thus, the progress is also open to those who do not try to control their receiver with the smartphone. However, the current version of the Denon Remote App brings quite good installations. And it's also a good service when it comes to using the network capabilities of the AVR-2313.
The AVR-2313 is also capable of recording gapless playback for FLAC and WAV files up to 24 bit / 192 kHz. Thus, no unwanted pauses are produced during the streaming of musical tracks. This is not only useful when there are several tracks, but also live concerts.
But the over 100-year-old manufacturer Denon has long been a perfect image. In this respect, the AVR-2313 shines with complex 4K video signal processing. It is not only capable of switching 4K, it can even scale analog standard video to ultra-HD resolution. Scaling is done with sharp, low-impact results.
In the hearing test, the Denon set to pace. With sharp, fast basses and a fresh, in no way sharp way of playing, the AV receiver fed analogue fed its mark in the stereo pass. It produced a large, transparent image and always maintained its high neutrality. In the bass range, quality went before quantity - a tuning philosophy, which Denon also gives to the brothers of the AVR-2313.
The basic virtues were also retained in surround mode. However, the effortlessly presented, very open-acting performance caused the volume to be turned up so far that the AVR-2313 switched off for safety.
